Our hospital started to serve as the revival of İzmit Seka Plant in 1946 and was transferred to the Workers' Insurance Institution in 1950 and opened to serve as Labor Insurance Institution Hospital with a bed capacity of 75. With the increase in the number of workers working in the region over time, an 8-storey building (Block B) was opened in 1978. In 2003, our 5-storey administrative building was opened with the contributions of our hospitals association and charitable people and organizations. Our former hospital named SSK İzmit Regional Hospital was named as İzmit State Hospital by the Ministry of Health on 19 February 2005.

Our hospital is on the date of 01.01.2008, taking the name of Izmit Seka State Hospital and serving with a capacity of 320 beds and serving with the Central Police Hospital attached to it.
